The Chinese government has renewed Google’s Internet Content Provider (ICP) license to operate in China and the Google Search Site has been restored in China but with limited features, the company announced Friday in an update to an earlier blog posting.
“We are very pleased that the government has renewed our ICP license and we look forward to continuing to provide web search and local products to our users in China,” the updated post said.
Google’s share price rose 2.8% in Friday trading following the announcement.
