Print Preview is a nice feature which allows users to see their printer output before sending it to the printer. The Google Chrome browser also added this feature in early 2011. Upgrading the feature, the browser now provides a better preview without opening in a new tab. Instead the previews goes in a new DOM UI box element on the same tab. This is really great, but the feature is still not stable and marked as a flag-feature.
In new versions of Chrome this is enabled by default. To disable the new in-tab print-preview box follow these steps.
Step 1
If your are reading this in Chrome itself, click on this link chrome://flags/. If not, first open the browser and type chrome://flags/
in the address bar and press enter. You will see a page with warning like Careful, these experiments may bite.
Step 2
Scroll down the page to find out Print Preview row. Looks like this.
Step 3
Click on the disable link that see just below the ‘Enables an in-tab preview of a print operation’. After disabling you will find a ‘Relaunch Now’ button at the bottom of the page. Click on the button to restart Chrome with all your opened tabs.
To restore the feature, again follow same steps and click on Enable link in step 2.
